Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Solvryns LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website and accounting software services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
When you sign up for the Solvryns waitlist or create an account, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Business name, address, and EIN
- Billing information processed securely by Stripe
- Account credentials
- Communications you send us, including support requests
Information collected automatically
When you visit solvryns.com or use our software, we automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns
- Referring URLs
- Cookie identifiers
Financial data
If you connect bank accounts or credit cards through our Plaid integration, we receive transaction data, account balances, and account metadata.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Solvryns accounting platform
- Process transactions and send related confirmations and invoices
- Send waitlist updates and early access notifications
- Respond to support requests and questions
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
- Analyze how our service is used to improve features and performance
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your financial data to serve advertisements.
3. How we share your information
We share your information only in limited circumstances with trusted service providers, legal authorities when required, or in connection with a business transfer.
Current service providers include Supabase, Plaid, Stripe, Resend, Formspree, Clerk, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Sentry, Anthropic, and OpenAI.
Anthropic and OpenAI are used for transaction categorization and workflow support with financial transaction data that does not include personally identifiable information.
4. Financial data and bank connections
When you connect your bank account or credit card:
- Bank credentials are handled entirely by Plaid
- Transaction data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3
- Financial data is stored with row-level security
- We do not share your financial transaction data with advertisers or data brokers
- You can disconnect bank connections at any time from your account settings
Your financial data is used solely to provide accounting software services such as categorization, reporting, and bookkeeping features.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies, functional browser storage, and analytics tools. Analytics tools are only enabled for visitors we identify as being in the United States.
For US visitors, we use Google Analytics 4 and Sentry to understand site usage and monitor technical issues. These tools load by default and you can opt out at any time using the cookie settings link in our footer or by selecting “Opt out” on the cookie notice. We configure Google Analytics with IP anonymization, ad personalization disabled, and Google Signals disabled.
Microsoft Clarity, which records session activity such as clicks, scrolls, and page interactions to help us improve the site, is only enabled for US visitors who explicitly accept it through the cookie notice.
Visitors outside the United States do not have any of these analytics tools loaded.
6. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- TLS 1.3 for data in transit
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest
- Restricted access to production systems
- Multi-factor authentication for team members
- Regular security reviews
- Audit logging for data access and modifications
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
After you cancel a paid subscription, we retain your account data for 365 days from the cancellation date. During this period, you have read-only access to your account so you can view records and export data to CSV or PDF. After 365 days, your data is permanently deleted.
If your free trial expires or is canceled without selecting a paid plan, your data is retained for 90 days, after which it is permanently deleted.
You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting hello@solvryns.com. Retention periods may vary by data type, and we may retain certain accounting and tax records longer where required by law.
8. Your rights
All users may request access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out of waitlist or marketing emails by contacting hello@solvryns.com.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. New Jersey residents may have additional rights under the NJDPA.
9. Children’s privacy
Solvryns is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
